Originally from County Laois, Dublin based dance artist Emily Kilkenny Roddy graduated with a 1st Class Hons in Dance Studies (BA) from the University of Chichester in 2016. Since leaving full time dance training, Emily has worked in areas such as performing, facilitating, creating, producing and teaching dance. She has acquired a lot of on-hand knowledge of management and production both in and out of the Dance sector.

Emily has trained in numerous styles and teaches contemporary, lyrical, jazz, commercial and musical theatre. She has trained specifically in choreography and composition and her work has been shown/created for everything  from dance competitions to dance platform festivals and theatre performances. 

As well as performance and teaching Emily works a lot in production. She was  the Dance Artist in Residence for Five Lamps Arts Festival 2018 and was later commissioned as the lead artist in the creation of Dancing in Dublin 1, a short film/documentary. 

Emily has previously danced in works choreographed by David Bolger (IRE) Atom-R (USA), Muirne Bloomer (IRE), Lea Anderson (UK), Justine Doswell (IRE), Nacera Belaza (FR), Sibeal Davitt (IRE) and Loosysmokes (IRE). She has also danced  for numerous commercial performances including music and arts festivals across Ireland and UK, Croke park, music videos and other commercial gigs.
