Join us for Creative Drama on Saturday evenings at ITW Drumcondra or Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons at ITW Clonskeagh. In these sessions, you'll explore, develop, and communicate ideas and performance concepts through acting and directing. You'll have the chance to devise your own dramas and interpret complex texts, using your understanding of form, style, structure, and genre. Additionally, we may study the work of influential theatre practitioners to inform and enhance your creative concepts.
Looking to take the next step towards a professional career in performance? Our Professional Development class on Sunday afternoons at ITW Clonskeagh is specifically designed for students considering a third level degree or diploma in performance/theatre. Throughout the year, you'll gain insights into the expectations of college courses and get a taste of the exercises you would encounter at a higher level. We also bring in guest speakers, including professionals from the industry, to provide valuable insights and guidance. We'll cover audition techniques, discuss what courses and employers look for, and assist you in preparing monologues, showreel scenes, and self-tapes.
Additionally, we organize regular theatre trips to see graduate productions and professional shows.
If you're 16 years or older and have a passion for theatre, we welcome your application to join our Advanced Acting and Scene Study class. This class takes place on Wednesday evenings at ITW Clonskeagh from 7-8pm. Here, you'll enhance your performance skills, focusing on acting techniques, script analysis, and character development.
